EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Abhishek Kumar shares how he lost a film after Bigg Boss 17 — “My cheque had already come…”
Abhishek Kumar, one of the rising stars of the TV industry, recently spoke to Pinkvilla and opened up about losing a big film offer after his time in Bigg Boss 17. The actor, who has been winning hearts with his work, revealed that although he had started preparing for the movie, he had to let it go because of a schedule clash.
In this exclusive chat, Abhishek said, “I haven’t told this to anyone before. Right after Bigg Boss, I signed a film. We even did workshops, I received the script, and my cheque amount had come too. An acting teacher was coming to train me. I won’t reveal much, but the production was good and the cast was also great. Everything was going well.”
He then shared what went wrong. “The shoot location didn’t have dates available at first. When they got the dates, those dates clashed with my shoot for Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. And I couldn’t skip Khatron,” he said.
Abhishek mentioned that he did request the film team to adjust the shoot schedule, but they couldn’t make it work. He said, “This was the only project that made me feel a little bad. But then I thought, even the fact that someone thought about casting me in a Bollywood film is a big thing for me.”
He also explained that apart from this, he chooses his projects very carefully. “All the projects I’ve done — music videos or shows — have been successful,” he proudly shared.
Currently, Abhishek Kumar is part of Laughter Chefs 2, and he’s also acting in a new drama called Tu Haii Aashiiki.
